Q: What is the strongest argument for becoming a member of UMPSA?
Simple -- every important aspect of your job is negotiated by UMPSA on your behalf.
United, We Bargain. Divided We Beg. Do you really think you will do better against the UMS on your own? Do you know anyone who has? Exactly.
Every workplace condition has been negotiated, not offered willingly.
Wages, healthcare, annual and sick leave, retirement plan, tuition waiver and every workplace condition all have to be negotiated and approved by UMPSA members. Joining our union is your power.
Isn’t it in your own best interest, and the interest of your family, to have the strongest union possible fighting on your behalf? The more members we have the more influence we have in negotiations with the University of Maine System.
